Dr Emma Ladds is an academic GP who works mainly in the University of Oxford's Primary Care Department. She has an interest in narrative medicine and stories as well as social and community interventions within primary care. During the Covid 19 pandemic she began researching long Covid and is keen to help develop new ways of investigating these patients' symptoms and caring for them.
Dr Probert is the Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow, with a background in mathematics and chemistry. She uses a combination of methods that combine mathematics, chemistry and biology to better understand the chemical processes affected in certain diseases - particularly inflammatory conditions.
Professor Anthony has a background in experimental neuropathology. He is particularly interested in understanding more about the inflammatory processes in the brain and the rest of the body that cause disease and in developing new tests and treatments to help detect and combat them. He focusses on neurodegenerative diseases, pain, and other chronic inflammatory conditions.
Isobel is a DPhil student in the Anthony Lab, Experimental Neuropathology. She has a background in Biochemistry and Pharmacology and is currently researching post-viral syndromes. Her primary focus is trying to better understand the pathobiology behind long covid with the hope of guiding therapeutic strategies.
